This interactive course includes demonstrations, hands-on activities, and time for your specific questions. Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to learn:
How to identify patients with signs and symptoms of vision problems, even in the presence of 20/20 eyesight and normal ocular health
Screening techniques to identify dysfunctions of eye movements and eye teaming that you can use in your clinic
Therapeutic activities that can be safely and easily used without an optometric license, and which types of activities to avoid
How to sequence and modify therapy activities for patients functioning at various levels, and
When and how to refer for optometric vision therapy/rehabilitation
About the Instructor: Dr. Philip Bugaiski founded The Developmental Vision Center in 2005, and has become a sought-after speaker on various topics in neuro-optometry around the world. He is board certified in developmental optometry and vision therapy, and is North Carolina’s only Fellow of the College of Syntonic Optometry. Dr. Bugaiski is on the Board of Directors of The Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association (OVDRA, formerly COVD), a member of the teaching faculty of the College of Syntonic Optometry, and has served on the International Examination and Certification Board for OVDRA.
